Biography
王怡詠是一位出生於香港的女高音,以其在歌劇和音樂會曲目中的多樣化表演而聞名。她參演了多部重要作品,包括:維亞德羅的《仙杜麗娜》(仙女教母)、普契尼的《波希米亞人》(Musetta)、莫扎特的《費加羅的婚禮》(Susanna)、《魔笛》(帕帕基亞/第二夫人/第一男孩)、普朗克的《瑞普·范·溫克爾》(Hans)、馬斯奈的《瑪農肖像》(Jo/Jean)、吉爾伯特與沙利文的《米卡多》(Peep-Bo)、多尼采蒂的《愛之甘露》(Gianetta)。
此外,王怡詠在當代歌劇方面也有重要貢獻,曾在Tête à Tête歌劇節上演出《剛鬣》(高翠蘭)和《江流兒》(溫嬌)的世界首演。
最近,她在「東風音樂會系列:萬物共生」中展示了周龍的《箜篌引》英國首演。王怡詠代表香港演藝學院參加了在台北與台北藝術大學和台北愛樂歌劇工作室的學生進行的表演交流。她還在香港和深圳的「慶祝香港特區回歸20周年專場音樂會:風華二十載」中演出。
王怡詠擁有倫敦音樂與戲劇學院的表演碩士學位,師從John Evans,並且在香港演藝學院獲得音樂學士(榮譽)學位,師從著名女高音阮妙芬。她還取得了香港演藝學院的音樂文憑,並獲得多項榮譽,包括香港威爾士男聲合唱團獎學金、邁克爾·里朋紀念獎學金以及倫敦音樂與戲劇學院財務獎。
Valerie Wong is a Hong Kong-born soprano known for her versatile performances in both operatic and concert repertoire. Her impressive career includes notable roles in productions such as: Viadrot’s Cendrillon (La Fée), Puccini’s La Bohéme (Musetta), Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro (Susanna), Magic Flute (Papagea/2nd Lady/1st Boy), Planquette’s Rip Van Winkle (Hans), Massent’s Portrait of Manon (Jo/Jean), Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado (Peep-Bo), Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (Gianetta).
Additionally, Wong has made significant contributions to contemporary opera, performing at the Tête à Tête Opera Festival in the world premieres of The Monster of Gao Village (Gao Cuilan) and The Monk of the River (Wenjiao).
Recently, she showcased the UK premiere of “The Konghou Fantasia” by Zhou Long at the East Wind Concert Series: All Things Harmony. Wong represented the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in a performance exchange in Taipei with students from the Taipei National University of the Arts and the Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio. She also performed in the HKSAR 20th Anniversary Celebration Concert, “Two Decades of Elegance,” in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Wong holds a Master of Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying under John Evans, and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where she trained under renowned soprano Nancy Yuen. She has also earned a Diploma of Music from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and received various accolades, including the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir Scholarship, the Michael Rippon Memorial Scholarship, and the Guildhall Financial Award.
