Biography
香港女高音王怡詠曾出演多套著名歌劇，包括《費加洛的婚禮》中飾演 Suanna、《魔笛》中飾演 Papagea/2nd Lady/1st Boy、《愛情靈藥》中飾演 Gianetta、《霍夫曼的故事》中飾演母親的聲音、《修女安潔莉卡及賈尼・斯基基》中飾演 La Badessa 及 La Ciesca、《塞墨勒》中飾演伊諾、《蝙蝠》、《灰姑娘》、《唐璜》、《托斯卡》等。王氏曾代表香港演藝學院到訪台北藝術大學和台北愛樂歌劇工作坊交流演出。於2017七月，王氏獲邀於《風華二十載》慶祝香港回歸20週年專場音樂會在香港和深圳演出。
王怡詠為Guildhall School of Music and Drama Master of Performance、香港演藝學院榮譽學士及演奏文憑畢業生，分別師隨男中音John Evans和女高音阮妙芬，並獲得Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir、Michael Rippon Memorial和Guildhall Financial Award獎學金。
Valerie Wong, a Hong Kong-born Soprano whose multifaceted performances encompass both operatic and concert repertoire. Her career has taken her to productions of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro (Susanna), Magic Flute (Papagea/2nd Lady/1st Boy), Planquette’s Rip Van Winkle (Hans), Massent’s Portrait of Manon (Jo/Jean), Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado (Peep-Bo), Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (Gianetta), Offenbach’s Les Contes d'Hoffmann (La Voix), Puccini’s Suor Angelica (La Badessa) & Gianni Schicci (La Ciesca), Handel’s Semele (Ino). She also made appearances at the Tête à Tête Opera Festival for the world premiere of the Monster of Gao Village (Gao Cuilan) and The Monk of the River (Wenjiao).
Wong recently performed the UK premier of “The Konghou Fantasia” by Zhou Long at the East Wind Concert Series: All things Harmony. She previously visited Taipei as the representative of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, for performance exchange with students from the Taipei National University of the Art, and the Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio. Wong was also invited to perform in the HKSAR 20th Anniversary Celebration Concert – “Two Decades of Elegance” in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.
Wong graduated with a Master of Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under John Evans, having previously attained the Bachelor of Music (Honours) under renowned soprano Nancy Yuen. She also received the Diploma of Music from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and was a recipient of the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir Scholarship, the Michael Rippon Memorial Scholarship, and the Guildhall Financial Award.
